Keepin' Cool in the Summer Dishcloth Swap

1. Do you Knit or Crochet? For how long?
I do both. Stopped while raising family and restarted a couple of years ago. So basically have been doing both for 30 years but still consider myself a novice, lots to still learn.
2. Do you enjoy using metal, wooden, or some other kind of needle\hook?
I use which ever works for project and Have all kinds of sizes have in various materials. I want to try Addi’s lace for lace work but haven’t yet.
3. What are your favorite types of yarn? Any you just can't stand?
I love all yarns except 100% acrylic.
4. When it comes to cotton, are there any brands you'd love to try and haven't?
I would love to try Blue Sky Organic Cotton.
5. When you make Dishcloths, do you use them yourself, or tend to give them as gifts?
I tend to make and give as gifts.
6. Do you have a favorite color? Any that you dislike?
I love yellow, pinks and green. Not really.
7. What color(s) (if any!) are your kitchen and bath decorated in?
Kitchen is yellow and orange, bathrooms are green and white.
8. What are your favorite scents around the house?
I love the smell of crisp white cotton, lilacs and azaleas, ocean breezes.
9. What is your very favorite thing about summer?
Relaxing on porch with a good book or knitting while watching doggie run around like a nut. She is a high energy Jack Russell Terrier. I LOVE the long days!!
10. What is your least favorite thing about summer?
Sleeping in the heat.
11. Do you use soap or body wash in the shower?
Soap
12. What scents do you enjoy in the bath?
Fresh clean scents not sicky sweet , absolutely adore lilac
13. What is your favorite dishcloth pattern?
New to dishcloths (since Winter swap) and haven’t found a pattern didn’t like yet
14. What sort of treats do you enjoy? Sweet or Salty?
Both!! Love chocolate and love potato chips
15. Imagine today is one of the hottest days of the year - what do you do to keep cool? Or are you one of those folks who loves the hot weather?
I wash the cars so can get wet. Love the hot weather except for sleeping time, need it cold to sleep.
16. What sorts of hobbies do you enjoy besides knitting or crocheting?
Sewing and reading
17. Do you collect anything (besides yarn!)
Do clothes and shoes count? I am a clothingolic and shoeolic. I collect pins and mugs from different places have visitied and have some antique pins from my grandmother and DH’s grandmother.

Yes, 1 doggie, 2 cats, 1 bunny and 4 betta fishies

My DD keeps me informed and I will have kids here in August, they willbe going to a local day camp. Yippee I am so excited I get kiddies all to myself!!!

It's Mine... All Mine

Got home last night to find a package. WOOHOO my scarf, actually a shawl had arrived. Margaret sent a beautiful Angel Lace Shawl in a green. It is gorgeous. It first showed up on blog here. http://ise6.blogspot.com/2008/04/mission-nearly-accomplished.html She also sent an exquisite necklace, some magazines, a bag to perserve precious shawl plus a coaster depicting my name, and a key chain from her location in Canada.

Welp, I am home and back into the swing of things, I think. But have a horrible cough and sore throat, NOT AGAIN!!!
